No Spend Month Challenge

Cannot believe how fast January has flown by! Now that I am completely stocked up for the baby's arrival, I have decided to give my bank account a break, and challenge myself to a no spend month starting February 1st. I am completely stocked up on diapers, wipes, and all the essentials probably for the first year. I did buy some formula just in case the breastfeeding/pumping doesn't go as planned. The only thing I might need would be some sleepers, and clothing items if we have a boy. I kept all daughters clothes since she was a newborn, so if we end up having a girl we are def set for the next year!

I found some really good blogs on challenging yourself to do the no spend month. My weakness will probably be three things - 1. Target 2. Coffee 3. Eating Out. I do so well not spending money when I take one day and meal plan. Then, I become lazy. I really just want to become more frugal. During this challenge I made a list of things I would love to do. I will spend money on just the basic household items, and normal bills. I made a list of things I would like to accomplish during the month of February, and continue.
  1. Read more. I have two books that I need to finish, and I want to buy more books!!
  2. Work more on my blog. I have so many posts that I have started, that I just need to finish.
  3. Start my egg carton gardens, and get ready for the spring.
  4. Relax!
Things I will not be spending money on:
  1. Makeup
  2. Eating out
  3. Manicures & Pedicures - minus the one I will get before I have the baby (I have a gift certificate so that doesn't count)
  4. Clothing & Shoes
