Week Three - Whole30

Well, while writing this post, I realized that I am on day 22 of Whole30! This has gone by so fast, and I feel really good. The thought of eating greasy food sounds so gross. Things I do not miss - pizza. I thought I would never say that, but I have gotten past that carb crash, and now I am full of energy.

Zoodles & Whole30

If you are looking for a great carbless noodle substitute, let me introduce to you zoodles! Last summer when I did Whole30, I wish I had this nifty little tool - the julienne peeler. I purchased mine from Wegman's for $9.99, but Amazon also sells it. Last night I made my zoodle spaghetti, and it was so good! The noodles were perfect, and the whole meal was really filling! Can't wait to make more things with my julienne peeler!

Revlon ColorBurst Matte Lip Balm Review

Obsessed. Revlon ColorBurst Matte Lip Balms are THE BEST. They go on very smooth, and are very pigmented. I wanted to get some bright spring colors, and I really love how easy you can apply them. They last about three to four hours before you need to reapply, and you can finish them with a clear gloss if you don't like the matte. They are about $9 depending where you shop. I found mine at Ulta, and they had the buy one get on 50%. Target had them, but they didn't have much in stock.

Week Two - Whole30

So, I made it into week two! I feel really great, and have a ton of energy. I have been doing a lot of walking, and even ran a mile three weeks post baby!

Ulta Haul!

So many new products to try! I wanted new bright colors to try for spring, and do some spring cleaning of old makeup. I have seen all these products on Pinterest and Instagram from other bloggers, and I wanted to try them!

I am really excited to try the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer. I see this all over beauty blogs, and it was a fan fave on Ulta. I also wanted to get some new lipsticks and glosses, so I purchased a variety of colors, and finishes. Nude lips are trending, and Maybelline's The Buffs had really good reviews.

I wanted to play around with some bright colors, so I purchased a couple of Matte ColorBurst Balms. I heard these are really great, and pigmented!

Cannot wait to try these drugstore products, and review! Have you tried any of these products, if so what do you think?

Container Gardening

It's almost that time to start planting! I started my seeds this year indoors in egg carton gardens, and they are doing really well!

Fitness Motivation - New Shoes

I decided that new shoes are the best thing for fitness motivation. I just wish it would stop snowing so I can actually go outside and enjoy my new shoes! DSW always gets me with their coupons, and I had $20 off, so I decided I deserved a new pair of Nike's. I had the shoes in my wishlist while doing my No Spend Month Challenge in February, and then DSW sent me another $5 off coupon the other day. So, I decided it was a sign that I needed them. Plus they were only $59.95 before any coupons were applied.

Nike Flex Experience Run 2 Lightweight Running Shoes got really good reviews on DSW's website, and they offered them in five colors. That was the hardest part, but I decided to go with black. They are very comfortable too! Cannot wait to run in them!

Target Beauty Haul

Target, you had me at clearance. Nail polish for less than $2, and lotion that smell like lemon cake! AH!

I am in love with my new hand and body lotion by J.R. Watkins in Lemon Cream. It smells heavenly, and I couldn't believe it was clearance. I wish it wasn't the last bottle, because I would have stocked up!

Also, I couldn't pass up the Sonia Kashuk nail polish in Tumultuous Teal for less than $2!

Can't wait to try my new beauty finds from Target!

Grey Tee & Round Sunglasses

Following the latest trends doesn't have to break the bank. If you are in love with those Miu Miu Noir Round Sunglasses, you can find a pair at Target for a fraction of the price. When I say fraction I mean $370 vs. $12.99. Don't get me wrong - I love my designer sunglasses - BUT $370 is out of my price range on sunglasses.

You can't go wrong with dressing up or down in some basic tees. Target has a variety of styles, and colors to choose from. When I went shopping the other day, they had basic tees for $5. Since I have a lot of basic white and black tees, I decided on the grey v-neck. You can dress this tee up with a pencil skirt, and dress it down with the perfect boyfriend jean. P.S. I love Gap boyfriend jeans! I really recommend them, and you can find really good prices on jeans at Gap Factory.

I am a Target fanatic. I should probably have a part-time job there. I can give directions around the store to my hubby from the couch. Their clothing isn't cheap in quality either. If you follow a lot of the designer styles, you will find the look at Target.

Week One Whole30

Last Sunday (March 9th) I decided to start round two of Whole30, and I wanted to show my journey to post baby body! So, I went to Wegman's and stocked up on all my groceries for the next two weeks. This included lots of bacon, eggs, sweet potatoes, veggies, and fruit. I am trying to mix up my meals by not just eating eggs, and bacon for breakfast. I love the Whole30 version of cereal!

Sweeter Kisses - Lush Mint Julips Review

Chapped lips are the worst. Especially when you want to wear the perfect lipstick, and there's no hope for your lips. This winter has been the worst, and keeping your lips perfect might be a problem. The solution - Lush's Mint Julips Lip Scrub.

This was given to me as a gift, and I tried it the first time the other night while doing a facial mask. I am in love! It's isn't rough, but works wonders! Plus it smells wonderful, and your lips will be super soft! Oh, and it contains fresh ingredients - which is always a plus.

Birchbox - March Review

I love when I see the pink Birchbox sitting in my mailbox! It's like Christmas each month. Not knowing what samples you are getting is the best part. There have been a few sample boxes that I wasn't impressed with, but for the most part $10 a month for samples you can't go wrong. Plus if you're like me and want to try the product before committing to a full size product, it's the best!

Two of my favorite samples for the month is the Gilchrist & Soames London Body Lotion it has a light, and lovely scent. My other favorite is the POP Beauty In Liner in blue. It does exactly what the description states - long lasting, goes on smooth, and waterproof. I love that it has a fine tip, and it's really easy to apply. Also, I really love this eyeliner in blue. It's not a true blue, but more of a darker blue. I guess I will wait, and enjoy the chocolate next month!

Fitness Journey - Post Baby Body

So, it's that time! I wanted to do a blog post - or posts, on my journey to post baby body. When I was pregnant with my daughter I gained a lot of weight. I enjoyed pregnancy a little too much. My last weigh in at the doctors was 205 pounds, and my total weight gain was 63 pounds. Yikes. It took nine months get to my pre-pregnancy weight, and then I got lazy. I had to work really hard to even get there. I did Weight Watchers, and got a personal trainer. That's when I read about Paleo in 2013, and started to slowly follow that lifestyle change. I did the Whole30 Challenge May 2013, and my total weight loss after my daughter was 95 pounds. I didn't want to do Paleo for the weight loss, but more for the healthy eating. After you read all the crap you put into your body, and how it harms you, Paleo just seems like the best option.
