For the month of March, I am setting a goal of taking 10,000 steps a day. Yesterday was my first day, and it was a challenge. All I want to do is get outside and run, and walk. The icy weather, and all the snow has kind of put a damper on all outdoor activity. So, this will get me motivated to hit the gym.
Yesterday I worked arms - lat pulls, face pulls, and a few dumbbell exercises. Also, if you are trying to get your steps in, and working arms try taking those dumbbells on the treadmill with you. I walked at a 3.5 pace, 10 incline with three pounds dumbells. I did a bunch of arm workouts while getting my steps in. It might not seem like a lot, but it was a killer workout. Also, add some ankle weights to the mix, and you are working your bum. Walked out of the gym super sweaty!
