Get Out - Stay Out // Stony Man Mountain

I haven't really been much into social media lately. Sometimes I will go a few days without posting things. Life has been really busy, and sometimes it's nice to take a step back from the busy everyday routine. It's honestly really nice to take time to do things without the pressures of social media. Seriously, try it. Take one day. Don't get on the internet, and make a list of things you want to do for yourself. I have accomplished laundry, organizing my closet, throwing away old makeup, donating the kids clothes they outgrew.

It's really nice to get up, and go do things on a whim. Like go hike a mountain with snow on the ground, and it's 20 degrees outside. You can't even document what it's like in a picture. It's the most rewarding thing you can do for yourself. GET OUT. There are no pressures, you're enjoying real life experiences. PUT YOUR PHONE DOWN, AND LIVE LIFE.

Last Sunday one of my good friends, and I decided to do a quick hike at Stony Man. This hike has some of the best views in the Shenandoah National Park. It's a really quick, and easy hike. You could take kids, but it's really rocky at the summit, so be extra cautious.








Before reaching Stony Man Mountain, we stopped to take some photos at Mary's Tunnel. This is located on Skyline Drive. This tunnel is amazing, especially with all the frozen icicles.

Whole30 Meals

Hello!! I know A LOT of people did a Whole30 for January 2016!! Some people have even committed to doing a Whole45/60/90/100/130!! Right now I am doing a Whole90, and I might continue until my birthday in March.

This is my second Whole90, and I LOVE it. I feel really good, my hair and nails grow like crazy, and my skin looks really good. I haven't had a pimple in FOREVER. Dairy makes me breakout really bad, so I know from doing multiple Whole30's that's one food I should just stay away from.

I wanted to share some of my simple and Whole30 approved meals! I like making simple, quick meals. I commute over two hours a day - to-and-from work. So, I don't have time to spend in the kitchen making huge dinners. Also, having two kids, I want to make stuff that they will enjoy too.

We eat a lot of eggs. They are quick, easy, and you can eat them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I buy my eggs from Costco since they have the best price on organic eggs. I like to make a lot of roasted veggies. These go great with all meals too. Soft boiled eggs with brussels sprouts, and a dash of red pepper flakes is really a game changer for breakfast! Sweet potatoes are AMAZING to have on hand. I normally bake about four, and then split them in half for my meals at work. Prosciutto egg cups are a life saver too!!





Eating clean, healthy, Whole30, or however you eat shouldn't be hard!!
