whole 30 // wegman's

Here's my first Whole30 approved grocery haul for 2017!! I get a lot of questions, on budgeting when doing a Whole30, so I wanted to break down how I shop and prep for a Whole30.



I keep my meals simple, and easy. I feel like if I am trying to make too much food at once, it will go to waste. This grocery haul was $75 - and will last all week for me. Roasting veggies is a great way to keep your grocery bill down. You can roast sweet potatoes, brussels sprouts, butternut squash, and potatoes - and eat them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Fried eggs with oven roasted brussels sprouts, and crispy potatoes are great for breakfast. Baked chicken breast, with oven roasted brussels sprouts, and a half a sweet potato is a great and filling lunch. I use the ground turkey to make taco salads - this is great for dinner. Soft boiled, fried, scrambled, and poached eggs are great for all meals! Honestly, I never get sick of eating eggs, and I love a soft boiled egg with roasted veggies.

Here's what I stocked up on: 

  • eggs

  • ground turkey

  • brussels sprouts 
  • kale
  • red potatoes
  • sweet potatoes 
  • celery 
  • bananas 
  • butternut squash

  • Epic Bar's
When snacking on a Whole30, I love eating apples or bananas with almond butter. Trader Joe's almond butter is my favorite, and it's not super expensive. I always keep protein bars with me, and really like Epic Bar's. Also, read your labels. I get a lot of questions too about which kombucha is Whole30 approved, and the only brand that I have found is GT's. Make sure there is no ADDED sugar in the ingredients!
